Curry Rivel
On the higher ground above the flood plain, Curry Rivel sits on the A378 road between Langport and Taunton.
The village has a 13th - 15th century parish church dedicated to St Andrew.
There is a tall monument to the West of the village called the Burton Pynsent Monument. Designed by Capability Brown, commissioned by William Pitt to honour William Pynsent who donated his estate to Pitt in appreciation for opposing a tax on cider.
