The RSPB have their West Sedgemoor office on the flood plain just above the town of Curry Rivel. They run guided walks and events but it is not generally open to the public. The wet marsh during the winter and spring does have a tremendous number of birds which make use of it.
It is an area which is used as part of the Great Crane Project which have introduced a number of Cranes to the UK. So it is not uncommon to see some of them in the area.
