Westhay Moor

Westhay Moor is a substantial reserve run by Somerset Wildlife Trust just to the north of Meare and Westhay. It has a small car park but the reserve has many lakes and many hides and viewing platforms.

The reserve is good for birds with Marsh Harrier, Bitterns and Bearded Reedlings being resident. But it is a fabulous place for dragonflies and unusual marsh habitat plants such as the Sundew.

It is dog friendly but there are some restrictions in certain sensitive areas.
