The village has a pub called The George in the middle of the village. Just opposite is the school, the Methodist Chapel and the village shop.
The Church of the Holy Cross is at the northern end, up the hill and it has some fine views across the levels.
Middlezoy Pumping Station Museum, which houses some working examples of steam pumps, is not far from the village but actually closer to Westonzoyland.
To the north of the village cut off by the Kings Sedgemoor Drain lies a large flat expanse of flooded wetland which is part of the RSPB Greylake reserve.
